Prayer of Agur

Just Enough a prayer of Agur, Proverbs 30:8-9

"Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread."

Somewhere between having too little and having too much, there's a quiet place. Agur asked God to keep him there — not grasping, not hoarding. Just held.

It's easy to look at what someone else has and mistake it for the source. Their steadiness. Their supply. Their fullness. But no person was ever meant to carry what only God can give.

Agur's prayer is small. But it names something big: that what we reach for isn't always what we need, and what we need has always been closer than we think — not in someone else's hands, but in God's.

Not more. Not less. Just enough — and Someone faithful enough to keep giving it, one day at a time.
